We had a great day at the Kingston Expo this year, organised by the Kingston Chamber of Commerce. Starting off the day with a lovely networking breakfast early in the morning, all of us were ready and ramped up for the event to start.
The event started at 9:30am and was ushered in by two impactful speeches by the Councillor Yogan Yoganathan, mayor of Kingston-Upon-Thames, and Ed Davey, returning MP for Kingston and Surbiton. Their talks of retaining hope and change for the future truly showed us all that we CAN make the future we want, as businesses and individuals.
As the representatives of our small business at the Kingston Expo, we had the opportunity to talk and show interested visitors what we do and discuss many important issues, such as the the increased need for cyber-security and how business should put becoming more sustainable at the forefront of their company, whilst also answering any questions anybody had regarding us and tech in general. The expo visitors also had the opportunity to attend to seminars from two guest speakers regarding Future Skills, led by Kingston University, and the Transition to Net Zero presented by HSBC. We ourselves also managed to get a look around and it was wonderful seeing what others had to share and connect among people, whether it was about their business or just talking to a passing visitor.

We had also prepared some interesting items to give away to visitors and had a price draw for a lovely bottle of Gin, social media competition to win a tablet, our multi-use charging cables, camera privacy shutters, desktop background giveaway and cyber security challenge.
Some of the goodies we were giving out, plus a price draw for a bottle of Gin and a brand new tablet that was won through our social media competition
The event was closed with some drinks and the CEO of the Kingston Chamber of Commerce, Forbes, picking the price draw winners from all the business who were doing one, including us!
By the end of the day we were all incredibly knackered but, I believe that just goes to show how well the Kingston Expo went. A day away from the office, filled with connecting with the local business and networking with familiar faces and newcomers alike. This couldn’t be possible without the lovely people at the Kingston Chamber of Commerce and we cannot thank them enough for making this Expo happen for the past 10 years. We cannot wait for next years expo, hope to see you there!
